"However, developments over the past seven months have made this scenario less likely to occur." These developments include the appointment of Kevin Warsh to head the Federal Reserve, as well as 11 of the 12 regional Fed presidents being reappointed. At the first meeting chaired by Warsh earlier this month, the Federal Reserve emphasized its commitment to price stability, which surprised some market participants who had expected a more dovish stance from the Fed under the new chairman.
