According to Sci-Tech Innovation Board Daily, major Japanese multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) manufacturer Taiyo Yuden is accelerating the expansion of its MLCC production capacity.
President Katsunori Sase stated, "In our mid-term (2026-2030) operating plan, we originally intended to expand MLCC production capacity at a rate of about 10% per year, but in the end, it will depend on the actual movements of customers such as hyperscale cloud vendors, and the expansion rate may be raised to 15% per year." Regarding price increase plans, Sase said that at this stage, there are no plans to raise prices due to supply-demand tightness.
